zoanthid familys?

okay so i was at my pet LFS and the owner was there cutting up frags of a huge shipment of corals he got in and i notice that there was a colony of micro zoo's i want to say very small, use to seeing larger one ans so i asked him and he went on to explain there are many different family's of zoanthids? he said something about zoo's zoa's? polyps? completely lost him after a few minutes of talking about this.

The smaller polyps of zoanthids could be:
Zoanthus spp.
Parazoanthus spp.
Acrozoanthus spp.
Epizoanthus spp.
Neozoathus spp.

Normally, in the trade, they are Zoanthus spp.
