Zoanthid Lighting 20 Long

Hi I am new to this forum and to reefing. I was wondering what would be sufficient lighting for Zoanthids in a 20 Long tank. Thanks for all replies.

Need a little more info to correctly help you.
What lights you using? Watts? Programmable?
How deep is the tank?
How high off the top of the tank are the lights?
Where are the zoas in he tank?(high, low, mid tank?)

Without this info it's hard to tell you

I will be using Quad 24 watt t5's. 2 actinic and 2 are 10,000k. Zoas will be mid tank. The tank's total height is 12". The lights will be 3" off the top of the tank

I'd say start them at 7 hours and if they start closing before you turn the lights off, scale it back. Likewise, if they're doing fine at 7 hours you could slowly ramp it up to 8-9 hours. Just watch them, they will tell you if they like what you're doing. But I think 7 hours is a good starting place.
