Zoanthids with White Fungus

I bought a nice colony of zoos, drip acclimated them, added about 1 ml of Seachem Coral Disinfectant, let them sit for 15 min, and added them to the tank in an area of high light and good flow all around the colony.

Two days later I see about three good sized patches of white fungus on half of the colony. I mixed up about a quart of tank water with alost 2 ml of SCD. I removed the colony from the tank and cut off the affected half of the rock along with a buffer zone of healthy polyps. Broke my heart doing that, but I thought it was a good idea. Dipped the remaining healthy rock for about 15 minutes, swished it vigorously in the dip, and replaced it in the tank.

I found about 7 small, white, perfectly round nodules on the colony in between the polyps. I popped them off of the mat or rock with the tine of a plastic fork. Were these the 'seeds' of the fungus?

There was a smaller piece with about 15 healthy looking polyps that I placed into a seperate tank. Two days later the remaining polyps look healthy and free of fungus on the larger rock, but the smaller rock in the other tank has the fungus again. I removed it and discarded it.

What I'm wondering is how much risk are my other colonies in now that the fungus has been introduced to my tank? Is there anything else that I can do other than close observation to help prevent any possible spread?

I hate this white fungus thing. What is it and what causes it? I thought the dip was supposed to eliminate it. I HATE losing zoos!
I know. I'm an idiot for not following Mucho's dipping advice to the letter. But would his dip also kill the fungus?
