Zoas and Aiptasia

I have some Aiptasia right next to, and just about rigt in the middle of, my prize eagle eye colony. Granted it's not very big right now... about 25 polyps, buy I'm just starting... and I see that the zoa's are kind of trying to get away from the aiptasia. I'm wondering if I should just let them go, or should I get rid of them? I can't really get peppermint shrimp b/c I have a 6" peacock mantis in my tank, so that also rules out the butterfly also b/c it's only a 20 gal. tank. I can try joe's juice, but I see about 5 aiptasia already on this small rock! I guess I can try the pepps and see how long they last, but I'm just trying to get an opinion as to wether or not I should frag the colony to try and at least save some for later?

That won't hurt the zoas that they are right next to? I have one that is directly in the middle of 4

I used Joe's Juice in the middle of a colony. I only had one aiptasia, but if you irritate the zoos (not the aiptaisia) and make them close, it is much easier to get the anemone only and not affect the zoas. HTH

if u irritate the zoas around the aptasia chances are the aptasia will also close, making the joes juice pretty much useless. I mean it will melt the aptasia away to a certain point but ur problem is definatly not gone. I'm typing this through experience. My zoo colony is still poisoned by the aptasia, now theres three in it!

Fragging won't be hard! Just need to get the scalpel from my mom! That shouldn't be too hard to get!

I have found that when trying to use Joes juice ans kalk paste with a syringe or a hypodermic needle that it is best at night when the zoanthids are closed and the Aiptasia are open and trying to feed.....I have gotten rid of 1/2 my Aiptasia that way, I have had a serious issue with them the last 4 months.....
