What camera are you using? Is there anyway I can take pictures that nice with my Canon SD 500?

The camera is a fairly old and simple Nikon Coolpix 885 in macro mode. You can take very good pix with most point-and-shoot digicams. The trick to taking clear photos through the water is to use an acrylic photo box. All of these were taken top down with the camera lense right up against the box. HTH.

What is a photo box?

Thanks xinumaster and ez.

fish590a, a photobox is made out of acrylic and allows you to essentially "submerge" your camera beneath the water surface so you won't have to deal with the surface water movement and light reflection. Here's mine. Very simple construction as long as it's water tight. Just make sure the bottom pane that faces the corals is kept scratch free.

Thanks simon.007.

FishyBiz, nope. Except for the last batch that I picked up from Passion of the Sea, most of these I've had. I just haven't had time to show them off :D

Gabe, sure. But you said it. Only zoas, no Palys for you

Looks great! we gotta swap zoas sometimes.

Thanks T. Maybe I'll bring some with me when I come for the tank and regulator.
