Zoas melting

Recently my Zoas that were thriving are starting to melt and die off. I have been running a gravity fed ATS as well as carbon and gfo to try and keep sps. I was wondering if the gfo and carbon as well as ATS is causing my water to be too clean for the Zoas. Po4 and nitrates have always read 0.00. If I remove the reactor and go back to just the scrubber would it possibly give life back to my Zoas?

keeping both is tricky but can be done. Sps doesnt necessarily have to have super clean water just not nutrient rich in my opinion. Just have to find the right balance.

i think the carbon and gfo combo is probably stripping your water.

As i convert my tank to full SPS i just setup a little 8 gallon zoa tank. Nothing but a heater, return pump, bag of chemipure and filter floss. Lights on a timer. Set it and forget it.
