Zoes wont grow

I purchased some zoes about 8 months ago and there not growing. When i got them there were 2 kinds of zoes on the rock one was purple and brown and the others were green with yellow centers. They wont grow at all. I bought some red cherry bombs bout a month later and they have double in size. I really like the green with yellow centers and wont to get them to make a colony like my cherry bombs but they havent even grown one new polyp. Please help. They are in a 20g with t5 lighting.

the zoas that you want to grow - are they wild zoas? ime, wild zoas take a little longer to get used to tank life. once established, they will take off. just be patient, stop staring at it, and be happy your "cherry bombs" are growing.

btw, what are cherry bombs? do they smoke up if you light it?

Not to highjack, but Cherry Bombs are a small zoa similar in appearance to Pink Panthers;

Make a couple of 1-2 polyp frags, and watch the frags take off.
