zoo tank set up question

does anyone run uv steralizer or will it kill off anything "natrual" in you tank that zoanthids will feed on?

I have a 13 watt and it feeds through my refugium on the return pump side.

As for the zoas, I bought some that were all brown from a LFS, and since being in my tank, the mouths have turned neon green, and the rest is starting to color up as well. So I think the UV isn't hurting them so far that I have seen.

I'm pretty new to this, so I would see what others say as well.
