zooanthiads and coraline algae ?

Probably a silly question, but here it goes: I have a rock I'm trying to cover in zoo's. I've placed the frags on it, spacing them apart. When they grow off onto the rock and fill it in, will there be warfare....or do zoo's get along with each other? I still struggle with placement of things...ie distance apart. The second question is: I've allowed the coraline algae to cover the back wall and two sides, but am now thinking I want the one side open for viewing. Is there any reason I shouldn't scrape it off all at once? I don't think there is.
Thanks

some zoas will take more space from the others. There are different agressivenesses (if that is a word LOL) of zoanthids and palythoas are usually stronger than zoas. The coraline should be fine to scrape off but you could either collect most of it and give to someone to jumpstart their coraline algae or you could sprinkle it over your rocks to help it spread there if you need it. It may help a new reef get that purple going.

Good luck

Scrape away I just did it to 1 side of our 55g tonight, as for flow I have zoas in low moderate and high flow areas all random flows and they all do well
