Zoos hyper extending ... why?

I've got some Zoos that are really extended out - see attachment - that is a group with probably the longest extension, there are others in the tank that are extended about half that length as well.

What's causing this?

Low light level? My tank is a Nano Cube 28 Gallon Intermediate LED (27W), with 3 supplemental strips of Stunner LEDs (6W each). The Zoos are about 1/4 of the way up in the tank.

Lack of food? I got a canister of Reef Roids during the week, have been feeding the Zoos every other day with Reef Roids, during the day when they are open fully, with return pumps off for about 20 mins. I have fed them twice this way so far. Prior to that, I was not target feeding them, I figured they would pick up excess food in the water.

Water parameters are pristine. I did have some issued with Phos for a couple of weeks, had a bag of PhosGuard in the media basket for about 2 weeks, just took that out today and replaced with GFO.

inTank Media Basket has -
Chamber 1
Layer of Phos Floss
Thin Sponge
Chamber 2
Purigen
Chamber 3
Bag of GFO
Bag of Carbon

Tank cycled for 4 weeks, has had inhabitants for about 5 weeks. These Zoos were one of the first corals I put in the tank. They have been in there approx 5 weeks now.

I really like the tight cropped Zoo look, this long extended look is not what I wanted for my Zoo Garden. I would say about 3/4 of my Zoos are really tightly cropped to their rock, the other 1/4 are extended from slightly (about a 1/2" off their rock) to the extreme of the group in the photo (about 2.5 - 3" off their rock).

100% light issue. Once you place them higher you will slowly see them retract to their normal size
