Thx MadOTC. I have a 4 bulb Cadlights fixture 4x24W bulbs. I have the fixture 5 inches over the water. My SPS, LPS, and polyps seem to like this combo...

-Blue Plus
-Actinic White
-Fiji Purple
-Blue Plus

Thx all...I have more but getting good shots if these is tough...I am considering a tank change to sapphire glass tank, of the basically the same dimensions, to improve my imaging...the Cad is a nice tank but the curved front is challenging....

I bought 3 PPE heads from a local club member last year...now I must have 30. Once I attached them to my LR they started spreading like crazy. I have noticed that z's spread more rapidly when placed on an upslope...just my obs...anyone else notice this?

I ordered the starfire tank today...

You know, now that you mentions this, I have noticed a similar phenomenon. I had some candy apple reds and mohawks that I moved around trying to find them a happy spot. Both were placed on a "up slope" and both have been doing remarkably better. In the last 2 months, my CAR's have gone from 3 to 15 polyps.

Interesting. I'll have to go turn all of my zoa frags on their sides!

Can you tell us something about your system?

How long have you had them?

What type of lights and wattage do you have?

What's your photo period?

Any additives?

Do you test, if so, how often and with what type of kit?

What are your parameters?

Do you plan on allowing them to grow out by attaching them to a mother rock instead of fragging them?

Thanks for sharing.

How long have you had them? - Most were added about 6 months ago...the PPE's I've had for about a year.

What type of lights and wattage do you have? - 4x24W T5's - Cadlights Fixure.
-Blue Plus
-Actinic White
-Fiji Purple
-Blue Plus

What's your photo period? - 0830 - 1800

Any additives? - I dose BRS 2 part, 9.6ml per day right now but I occasionally adjust based on my Ca and Alk params. Controlled with BRS Dosing Pumps and Apex Controller. I also water through run Carbon and GFO.

Do you test, if so, how often and with what type of kit? - Rarely, but I use Salifert and Seachem kits

What are your parameters? I typically only manually test for Alk and Ca, perhaps weekly. My last tests were Alk=10.2dKH and Ca=425ppm. My guess is that I have very low PO, Nitrates and Nitrites. pH runs between 7.8 and 8.1. I use RODI water (was changing 2 gal per week - now 2 gal every-other week). I feed my two fish daily with flake food and pellets. I occasionally feed corals with Coral Frenzy and/or Rods Frozen.

Do you plan on allowing them to grow out by attaching them to a mother rock instead of fragging them? - No fragging yet. being I have a small nano fragging will be required at some point. I am in the midst of building a new tank of similar size - GlassCages with 3 sides Starfire glass - and I will have a bit more space and will likely rearrange a bit. My hew tank will also be an AIO design with a chem chamber, my Deltec 300MCE HOB skimmer, and perhaps a small refugium.

Hope this helps.
