what silicone are you using???
is that "Aqueon" silicone? looks like it, and i was wondering how you liked it and what your opinion is about it.

Yes we used Aqueon silicone, with 1/16" spacers on 3/4" glass, so far the tank has been full 2 days and no leaks.

Amazing set up. From where you got the glass holders?

They belong to a friend of mine, we used 6 sets to move the tank originally, then 2 when moving the glass.

can i ask what process you used to remove all the old silicone and make sure you had the surfaces properly prepared?

The silicone was removed with sweat and tears with normal single edge razor blades, and then wiped down with acetone, alcohol, and finally the edges of the glass was sanded with cardide sandpaper.

The dimensions of the tank is 96x36x30

Tank filled up, water test, Passed
I am in the process of plumbing my DT, to this tank, as soon as I get my salt mixed in their.
I figured it would make the transfer of coral a lot easier next week.

Now did you replace the back pane? because if im not mistaken there were somthing like six holes on the back three next to each of the over flows.

Yes the back panel was replaced with the front panel, and i bought starfire for thr front pane.

here you go, each one will handle 330 lbs, but make sure you clean the glass and suction cups with alcohol first

wow that is an awesome deal and i am sure it will turn out awesome...i dont think i would have used that silicone to hold together that large a tank, as it is essentially just a sealant and not an adhesive, but with all the eurobracing top and bottom it should be okay...glad to hear the leak test went well...
