1 gallon water change

I have a 12 gal nano in an office, and want to do a 1 gal water change. I use instant ocean salt, and want to make 1 gal of water. How much salt should I use approximately to make the 1 gal.

I have a 1 gal container and do not have room to make 5 gal bucket and just take 1 gal out.

How much salt should I add to the 1 gal of water?

How much salt should I use approximately to make the 1 gal

roughly 1/2 cup of IO per gallon.

be sure to check it with a refractometer or hydrometer, that is just a rough estimate based on the directions.

thanks for the quick response. I was going to check it the salinity before adding it, but did not want to play trial and error with it first. thanks.
