Hi Roger

Here is my issue. I have 2 6055 pumps controlled by my profilux. For the last year, (maybe even more) one of the pumps stopped turning back on after I power it down for a tank cleaning. For the last few cleanings, I didn't turn off my pumps, but just this last time, I didn't think about it and turned it off.

In the past, the pump didn't start up immediately, but would start up some time over night, so I thought it was my controller acting strange. It's been a few days now and it hasn't turned back on, so I wanted to ask if there was a way to troubleshoot the pump. Should I just disconnect it from the system and try turning it on in a bucket? I read about power supplies going bad. Do you think this might be my problem?

Thanks

If the pump runs without the controller attached and the power supply lights up, it is likely not the power supply, you can also try the power supply from the woking pump. I would be sure the pump is clean, if it has any lime build up this will cause it to not run at low speeds and may eventually burn out the power supply. Remove the propeller assembly and soak the motor and propeller in 50/50 vinegar and water for several hours, until no white lime scale is visible in either part.
