So u all know I was getting a second mp40. Well I actually got a deal on a brand new mp60 . Which is overkill no doubt. But ill be looking to see what tank I will upgrade too now . Haha. I'm excited !!!

how much of a deal did you get on the MP60 P? I saw you chimed in last night on a guy that had one for sale. Are you gonna sell your MP40? I have read people who own 1 MP60 is suitable enough for a 500 gallon system. That is a lot of movement for ONE pump. If you think about it, if you sell your MP40, that's enough to pay for the tank itself!! If you sell your MP40, I am interested!!!!

and i got it for $100 bucks off list price.
it can be turned down, i saw a you tube video of a guy with a 7 foot tank, and it moves sand on the other end. so im gonna think carefully about a tank, might just buy a standard 120 4ft, and grow my stuff for the next year, where i save money is not buying a new skimmer and sump and all that just yet.

I was bored and looked at the for sale national site on RC. I was looking for a few things and ran across the MP60 thread. Saw you were the first to chime in. $100 of is not bad!!! One pump in 4' especially an MP60 is a ton of flow for that system. At least the good thing about it is if you do upgrade later to say a 200+ system, this pump is more then adequate for it.
I am also an insomniac now which sucks! So when the servers on RC are doing backup, I get p!ssed of pretty easily because how dare RC backup their servers at 3AM!!!!! :furious:

well i never thought 1 mp40 was enough for the 90, and id get a longer tank but i love my light fixture too much. so the 60 turned down will be the master and the 40 on the other end the slave, lots of options there. but yeah now im leaning towards just a 4ft 120 to just grow my things out for the next year at least. id be happy with that and keep all my equipment. im still thinking of getting 10k halides instead of 14k to see the growth difference, i can leave the t5's actinics on longer to hopefully not lose much color. and if i find the tank im gonna try and make a full swap on the move to it.
