10,000K or 20,000K for a BTA

Should I use a 20,000K or a 10,000K for a BTA?
I'm going to be buying a used MH setup with a 20,000K bulb included. Should i swap it out for a 10,000K?
Which would be better?

Well, color varies w/ different brand bulbs, and everyone has their own personal preference.
For me, most 10k's seem yellow/white and kinda harsh, and most 20k seem a little too purpley/blue for my taste, so I went w/ 14k, and that seems just right for me.

I use to have 10k MH bulbs but when it came to the time to replace them I went with a 14K. I am so glad I did..I really like the 14k look. It looks just like it would if you were scuba diving 20ft deep in the ocean. This 14k really makes greens, pinks and purples really stand out. Reds are a little dull though but that is the first color to go when diving.

I think it just boils down to what your preference is. I doubt the color of the bulb would make much of a difference when it came to the animal's health...
