$10 chalice

If you think so then it is, but if you are referring to the general masses it all depends on coloring of the chalice. Oh and name lol.
 
Yeah definetly don't worry about the names of Chalices. If it looks nice and color is good, it was worth it. Some of my nicest pieces don't have "official" names
 
Well it's kind of a solid purple-brown unless it's under actinics, then the rim turns green and the eyes a lighter orange-red. I like it :D
 
Sounds like it's an Acanthastrea rotundiflora (just google it for image comparisions ;) - and if you ever need to sell it, call it an LE chocolate rainbow mango eye watermelon chalice or something :p)

In my book, pretty much any decent-sized $10 coral is a steal.
 
Haha if it gets big enough to frag, I will definately remember that name! :lolspin: All the corals I have cost me under $20, I got a really nice torch for $10 that in 8 months has grown from one head to 5 :D And it's splitting again!
