10 gallon Glofish tank nano reef conversion

So I recently started a conversion of my 6 year olds 10 gallon glofish tank to a nano reef. He received the glofish tank two Christmases ago and it had been cruising along but the fish were slowly developing curved spines and other issues, likely from the inbreeding I am sure. When I was teaching at the highschool level we kept and bred them a number of times and this always happened unless you out-crossed them a couple of times.

Anyways after a recent trip to Aruba where my son first experience LD the joy of snorkeling he decided that he wanted to switch his tank to saltwater. We rehomed the survivors and stripped the tank down saving only the heater, glass top, tank, and blue glofish light. It is an led light with about 12 very weak blue LEDs. My PAR meter says 0 under them so they won't make much of a difference, but they are his night light so they stay. We will see if they are enough to elicit fluorescence.

I added 10 lbs of Bahamas reef sand and about 10 lbs of dry mined reef rock, both from Reefrocks.net which I am very pleased with. I wanted to try their products for my business and this provided a perfect opportunity. I will be ordering more from them soon. Hooked up my new 6 stage RODI from BFS for water, TDS zero which is great. Also set up a mixed led PAR38 from Rapid on a flexible clamp mount fixture. Lastly hooked up an old CPR refugium which I had already modified to increase flow. As you can see from the pic the tank sits in a window, so I am planning on planting the refugium with mangroves and some chaeto in a few weeks. For now I need to get a nice piece of live rock and one pound of live sand to let the seeding process begin.

Added some about 3 lbs well cured live rock and 1 lb quality live sand along with some inverts and coral frags. It had a mini-cycle on me but 90% water change fixed all that and everyone is looking great now. Looking to add a few fish in a week or so. Thinking a couple small ocellaris, pair of neon gobies, or maybe a goby/shrimp pair. It all depends on what catches my eye when we are out looking.

Please no comments on too small of a tank for the clowns. When they outgrow they will go to a bigger tank and be replaced with smaller ones.
