i hope im not over my fish > gallon limit
but how does that work anyways... since this 100 gall will NOT be a fish only set up how many fish is too many fish? once the ray gets too big for the tank he will be offered off to someone with a bigger established set up or back to the LFS then replaced with another baby ray . but im worried that i might be housing too many fish since im planning on the easyer to keep corals.

opinions, comments, flames :p

I hear the tangs and buttefly are big polluters

My sailfin (about the size of your palm, fully extended) used to poop like crazy.

I don't have any experiences with wrasse. Do your research thoroughly and stock slowly.

Good luck

i'd advise against the achilles tang... No many people have had success with them. Awesome fish, but EXTREMELY hard to keep

You can go to www.garf.org and use their water volume calculator it has places to plug in rock weight and sand bed depth to give you a pretty good estimate of how much water you actually have in your tank. When I was running my 200 I only had 135 gallons of water in the tank because of water and rock.

Good Luck

I would remove from the list: blue tang - polluter, and an ick magnet (show the girlfirend a powder blue or brown if she must have a tang) Achilles tang - again a polluter and will not do well (IME) in a heavily stocked tank (they are known to be a very nervous fish) Maroon clown - mean as heck (will bite you or try to anyway everytime you stick your hand in the tank) and they are messy too... kick up sand with their tailfin to make a burrow. IMO I do not think you have too many fish as long as you add them in the right order and slowly but I would talk to other people who have the fish I have mentioned prior to putting them in

notes taken... Tangs have been X'd out... not too into loitering or polluting myself so there-for they gotta go ;)
but the Maroon clowns are the Maroon Apples of the tank... as long as they dont sever a main vein, they gotta home with me:rollface:what im really looking for are fish with color and character... any you guys might want to reccomend?
