100 gallon "moray tank"

If the fimby got stung i imagine it would at least have some swelling near the injury...so it looks like it avoided being stung in the process.

SushiGirl: I have hermits in the tank but Tofer (dogface) does not seem to bother with them. I read some where that in the ocean they are often seen eating or biting chunks off of plating monti's. So I simply provide 3 types of plating monti's for him to munch on. The growth of the monti's seems to keep up with his appetite so I still have not had to replace the original frags I bought for him. I'm the type of animal/fish keeper that feels if it is in their natural/wild diet I am responsible for providing it to them in the home I provide for them.

rubensito: I sure hope we are both correct on that issue. I know it sounds horrible but my main concern is Grendel (the fimby). I actually have been teasing him with food every hour to get him to come out so I can examine him. I feel terrible for the foxface but the wounds seem to only be shallow fleshy and not in vital areas. Also on a good note the foxface is eating well, active and seems to be improving in looks by the hour so I have no doubt it will make it through the ordeal.

NEK-ap24: I am actually trying to arrange with a friend of mine a temporary home. If that falls through I will be putting him in my sisters 600 (sadly it's an hour from me so I won't get to see him much) until I can set up a species only puffer tank. Unfortunately I have 3 tanks cycling at the moment that are species homes for a few moray's that are on my must have list so setting up a 90-110 for him will be a few months before my wallet will agree to it... For now I have moved him into an x-large critter carrier inside the DT so I can sleep with no worries.

No offense guy, but that comes across as pretty rude. If you look back and read the thread, you will see that I asked Anaya to see a pic of his tank, specifically in regard to her Moray's tankmates. (a foxface, a puffer, and blue damsels) The pics were posted in response to my request.

Thanks Anaya, tank looks good, but the Damsels don't seem to assoicate with each other, which was what I was hoping to see. (sorry you got flamed for responding to my request)

Sorry, didn't mean to be rude.

hopefully grendel Keeps doing well. i actually had a mishap during feeding today when my fimby and blackedge got to the tongs at the same time. its face got nicked up but the nostrils are ok but one eye is a little odd but not punctured. happened to the fimby last year too. it is way too passive in compared to the 2 other eels in the tank and doesnt emerge from the rocks completely to feed like the blackedge and moringa do.

fish042099: No offense was taken. I figured, well it's a long thread and the reason for the pictures was most likely forgotten. Your apology is well respected. Thank you.

rubensito: I have been considering adding a white eyed moray to Grendel's tank because from what I have read in the past states that they hangout in the same caves/hide-spots in their natural environment. But I'm a bit hesitant out of worries for the white eye (significantly smaller species with a less ferocious dental plan...).
