Started this tank back up after it sprang a leak on me back in 2011. I had the tank completely resealed and had an overflow put in. Underneath is a 20g
sump with a Reef Octopus NW-110, a Phosban Reactor with carbon, and an ATO. I intend to add another Phosban Reactor and fill it with Phosban. I like to keep my tanks simple and have had great success doing it this way. For lighting I am using the Deep Blue Solarmax T5HO. Right now the tank is cycling, for how long, who knows.
Recent water test parameters were:
PH 8.0
Ammonia .50
Nitrite 1.0
Nitrate 20
Salinity 1.024
I'm just letting it runs its course for now. Once the parameters are better I will introduce pods and let it set for another couple of weeks. Once the diatom bloom hits, and if the water parameters are good, I will add my CUC. I'm not in a hurry to add any livestock as I know from experience that patience is the name of the game for this hobby.
