It just started randomaly started tripping my gfci. I have taken it apart and still doing so. Anyone have this happen before?

Does it always trip the GFCI or just occasionally? If the impeller is stuck or damaged the pump will overheat and a thermal fuse will cut power, also the coil will draw increasingly more power and act a bit like a capacitor (delay or difference between hot and neutral which is what trips a GFCI) if the impeller does not spin freely. The shaft should be permanently attached to the magnet and it spins in a ceramic bushing with a silicon rubber sleeve at either end. The shaft must not be broken or stuck to the bushings. The bushings should be firmly in their respective sockets.
