Well crap. Hmmm....well if worse comes to worse.....it will give me an excuse to get a Par 38.
Looks good, glad you posted a picture now I can place a face with a board name. Bc I recognize ya from petco.
I'd leave the zoa frag in there for a while and see if it starts to stretch. If it does, you need more light. If not you're in the clear for a while...well, more or less. If the lights don't work, a single PAR 38 with wide optics will get you started, but you may find an upgrade to two in the future on your to do list due to the spot light effect from the light. I've never used one, but that's what I gathered in my research on them.
NEED? no, not really. May you want two? Maybe, because of the coverage issues Roman mentioned. The PAR 38 isn't intended to be a wide angle flood light. It's supposed to be a spot light for highlighting certain areas of a tank or to be used in small footprint tanks. 80* optics would probably almost do it for a 10g. Worst case, you have a well lit center, set your scape around that, and have dim edges. If it was my project, I'd start with one and add a second later on if i needed it. It would be a want issue, not a need.Do you really think I would need two of them if I got one with 80 degree optics?
