10g sps tank lighting?

Hello all,

So, my experience with PAR38 bulbs is less than satisfactory. After three days of use, it completely burned my SPS. I was wondering if there was anyone out there that could help me out by recommending a small LED unit that can keep some decent SPS corals. I don't want anything too fancy or expensive, and I am willing to DIY if I can figure out how to mount it neatly over the tank.

Recommendations, suggestions, help please...

you might be able to dim your par38, mine is dimmable (from OCReefs) via a standard household lamp dimmer I got from Home depot

Yeah, I thought about doing that. This PAR 38 bulb is by Rapid LED and is dimmable via Triac,... like what you did. I just don't know if I like the color spectrum on it and the spotlight effect. It also doesn't look very aesthetically pleasing to me. So, that's why I am in the market for a new fixture.

If I DIY a new fixture, I would mount it inside a canopy with a small computer fan on top...
