Just out of curiousity what is the huge difference in growth between the two. I mean will i get two inches in two months with 10k? Or will i get one inch in two months with 20K. How does it work is it that noticeable?
In a GROSS generalization, that is my understanding as well.
I'm using 10K now, but once my stuff grows out to a good size, I'm gonna switch to 20K for a while.

It's not only the growth that is effected when switching to 20K, but also the color. Just because it is more blue it doesn't mean your SPS will have better color. I found bulbs with higher PAR like 10K's will give better overall color.

But is it the PAR or the 420nm giving you color? This is not really a fair statement IMO. A lot of people swear by 20K as the key to color. It just takes more watts of 20k to give you the same PAR.
