hey, my tank is a 12 ga. nanocube dx. i took out the back pc bulb and put the 70 w hqi there. i havent had any heat problems. I am probably going to get an actinic bulb for the front pc bulb. Everything else is stock nanocube dx. tell me what you think. and it doesnt look as green in real life. thanks.

livestock:
a pair of bluestripe pipefish
1 pistol shrimp
2 snails
4 blue legged hermit crabs
acro tenius
poccilopora

zoos
kenye tree that i will probably get rid of

a good way is to upload the photos to a place like photobucket.com and then past the IMG tags they give you. hope that helps

The pic is a little fuzzy, but the tank looks good. That is exactly what I would do if I had a 12g and SPS (70watt mh + pc actinics). Maximum lighting without a chiller is the way to go. That Kenya tree will grow like a weed and start rubbing against other corals in the tank!

If you do not mind me asking i am in the middle of debating whether or not to get a couple of dragonface pipes for my tank.
Do you feed you 2 every day of the week or do you let them go with out on weekends?
would love to get more detail on the glorious pipefish

i feed them about once everyday, i may forget every once in while.
dragon face pipes are very hard to get to train to frozen in my past exprience with them, and even live bbs. i'd say if there not feeding on frozen food you should have a 30+ gal aquarium with a good refugium.

IMO if youre going to start stocking sps, youll need a bit more flow than just the standard that comes with the cube, any plans on this?

Could you do me a favor and post up a photo spread of your under hood.
prefferably day time photos so i can see the difference between your hood and my own.
I can tell by just the bit of splash gaurd i see that you hood is set up better them mine so i would have a bit of work to do.
Did you mount extra fans in the hood to vent the heated air away from the tank?
