This is my first time uploading a pic so hopefully it works. It is a 12 gallon Eclipse tank that I keep in my office. I just started it not too long ago and I'm in love. I changed out the regular lighting with 2 50 50 actinics 18w a piece. Looks much better!! My one green mushroom is a little small and shriveled compared to what it usually is, along with a few other of the corals are not as perky as they were a few days ago. I had a little spike I think from the rock in the middle with the super-colored zoos. I ordered them online and alot of the rock didn't make it. It's gettin back to normal though. Let me know what you think.

Here's a bigger picture. And yeah I know that tang is going to outgrow my tank in no time, but I couldn't help it. Plus I'm definately planning on buying a bigger one for the house!! This is my girlfriends thoughts on that: :rolleye1: I'm sure some of you can relate!

Not bad looking but way overstocked. Get that blue hippo tang out. he will grow way to big and need at least a 100 gallon tank,

I know thats what I was saying, the tang is coming out before it gets too big. I can put it in my friends tank if I have to until I get another one for my house. I just couldn't resist!!

How is your coral doing in your tank? I only ask becasue people keep telling me i NEED metal halides on my 12g aquapod. If you are getting away with 36w's on your 12g then i should be just fine with my 54w's. Are you noticing good coraline growth?

lol, how do the tang police always find everyone so quickly?

lol!! Thats funny!! No I don't have any clams in my tank. To the right, I don't know which one you are talking about, I have a rock full of purple mushrooms, right behind that there is a tree coral, above that is some ricordia. The lfs told me that light that I got I can probably grow about anything. My corals are fine. I believe there are some corals that you should use metal halides on though. Not sure. Probably more hard corals than soft, which I'm really not interested too much in. Where did you get your lighting? It was hard finding anything that would fit my tank. As far as coraline algae I don't have much thats grown, but its a pretty new tank. I do have a few pieces of lr that I bought with quite a bit on it.

First off your tank looks very nice.

While I normally don't like to be the tang police because I have 1 in my 55 gal that I had to remove from my 150 because it was getting picked on from another.
I have to say it was soooo tiny when I got it. Actually the smallest one f/s Ive ever seen like dime sized.
Within a year it's now at least 4 inches long and outgrowing my 55.
So you better start cycling that bigger tank right now for the tang lol.

kass

lol. Thanks for the compliment and the advice! I'm figuring I'll be lucky if I have 4-6 months, which will still be well worth it. All will work out one way or another.
