12 Gallon JBJ Ricordea Cube

This tank is largely a product of my landlord making me tear down my bigger tanks - I was able to warehouse everything else in other peoples tanks save the Ricordea.

Stock JBJ - I run Rowaphos and dose B-Ionic, Mag, and amino acids. Gets 20 drops of Reef Nutrition Phyto Feast per day, a few squirts of rotifers per week and the occasional storm of articpods. None of this really seems to make them grow any faster but its not killing them either so why not. I really dislike PC lighting (esp with Rics which really pop under halides) but am not keen to setup an ATO so no halides for the time being.

Would love to see other Ricordea dominated tanks if you got em. Pics in the link below.

those are very nice looking colonies. i just set up a second tank, thats gonna be mostly mushroom and ric tank. i will post some pics on my blog as soon as they are available.

nice. good idea for a small tank. Can you take some pics without flash? Kinda blows out the colors.....

That is a pretty nice tank like the rics. I have a 75g that is all Florida rics I have alot of different colors Il send you some pics if your interested. I here you on the landlord thing that sucks.

You could make a nice profit selling those rics when it gets time to frag them;)

They look great :) I really like the yellow ones.

I am very jealous,

My favorite coral of all was a really large orange and blue ric I had in my tank. I saw it swirling somewhat one day and told myself I needed to glue it back to the rock it was on, or move it out the the flow it was in But it was so nice where it was so I hesitated a day and guess what?

I have not seen it since, I all but destroyed my tank trying to find the bugger, but in all the holes and hollows alas it was gone.

The worst loss I have had since I started my tank.

I am so jealous of the beautifull rics in that tank, If you decide to frag, put me on your list!!
