After nearly 20 years of keeping reef aquariums (and some of the animals I still have are close to that age) I have decided to change my life a bit and let this go. If you're looking for a plug and play system, this is it. It has everything from quick disconnects in the plumbing to a power panel to control individual devices from one spot. There is easy access to all under cabinet equipment, and I've even provided provisions for easy water drainage and refill.
Details:
I'd be willing to assist in the setup of anyone who would be interested in the entire system for no charge. The corals I would be willing to sell separately and for cheap, but there are a few things that I will ensure go to good homes. It really saddens me to give this up but our plans for our future simply do not include keeping this large of an aquarium any longer. I can be easily reached at luevelvet [at] gmail dot com for any further details.
Also, prices on the individual corals will vary, from 5-50 dollars. I simply have too much to list right now.
Thank you,
Luis
Details:
- 120 gal Megaflow RR Aquarium (with only one overflow installed. I have the other if you'd like to add both)
- Custom Canopy and Stand. There is a 2' sitting area coming from the front of the stand that is tiled. It can hold just about any amount of weight and I stand on it regularly. It's quite nice actually.
- Bubble Magus Skimmer BM160
- Vertex Dual 400w MH Ballast with two Iwasaki 400w 6500k Bulbs. The bulbs are approximately 6 months old and I usually replace them every 12-18 months.
- IceCap 430 VHO ballast with 2 48"URI Actinic bulbs.
- 40 gallon breeder for a sump with baffles glued in and a refugium on the side closest to the cabinet door for easy viewing and pruning. There is also a CFL ballast and lamp that lights the refugium.
- Mag 9 pumped through an Oceans Motions Squirt for a return.
- American DJ PC-100A power switch to provide easy on/off for any of the devices. I think one receptacle is bad but the other 7 work fine.
- Corals: Ricordia, Xenia (pom pom and red sea), different zooanthids, red, blue, green mushrooms, Kenyan Tree (capnella), Favia, Blue Anthelia, Long Tentacle Anemone, Clavularia, Tons of Green Star Polyps, Green and Purple FrogSpawn, Clams + much more than would reasonably fit on here.
- Fish include: Breeding pair of A. frenatus (tomatoe clown). The female has been with me for over 15 years and I will be picky about who takes her. Yellow Tang, Adult Bangaii Cardinal, Pinkbar Goby (Cryptocentrus aurora), Midnight Angelfish (Centropyge nox), 2 Skunk Cleaner Shrimp and 2 Sharon Shrimp
