120g Pics (Dial-Up Beware)

Well, the forum has been kinda slow, so I thought I'd share some pics of my 120... Most of you heard about my SPS crash in the transfer... But the rest of the stuff made out pretty well, and I think I've got everything under control... I got rid of the 2x250w MH's I had and am trying out a t5 fixture I got... I like the light it gives off so far, but am not going to build a canopy for it until I'm sure I'm going to keep the fixture on this tank... Anyways, LMK what ya'll think... Oh... And I LOVE my new Tunze's...

Looks good! You know, if you mount those blasto frags to a rock, they'll spread onto the rock. It's a slow process, though. My 10-12 polyp rock with lots of bare spots is just about completely covered now. Only took 3 years

Chris~ Thanks!!! I'll more than likely take you up on that... I'm going to do some damage to my wallet at the frag swap... I figured if there was a time to have a crash, it was when it happened... I just changed too many things at once I reckon... Everything was great for the first day or two... Had nice polyp extension everything looked crystal clear... But then things just started fading away on me...

Dave~ Yeah, I just knocked them all off of the rock they were on today... All 4 were mounted to the same rock... So I figured I would separate them so they could spread easier... I'll proabably take your suggestion and mount them all to new rocks... But like anything else, it will be when I get around to it... lol

Thats a tiger pistol shrimp... I've been looking for a Randall's to go with my Yasha to no avail... I'll probably have to order one online...

I got the clam wicked cheap too... I think I paid $40 for the two of them... Well, the small one and the other small one that is identical to it mounted on a rock... You can see it in the first pic... I like clams... I have 5 of them in the tank... lol

I actually got them from Maggies Aquarium Supply... Their prices have gone up a bit since then, but Randy is a pretty good guy to deal with... They don't have any clams right now though... The guys down in Chattanooga get some pretty good deals on clams... You might want to message them and see whats around down there... Maybe they could bring you one up???

We get Randall's around here all the time for like $25 at one of our LFS. Just saw one yesterday if I'm not mistaken. Certain gobies won't pair up with the tigers, but almost all will pair up with a Randall's. There's even a Japanese pistol local right now, or at least there was a couple of weeks back at our LFS.

Saw them at the CR. The Japanese pistol is too cool, and should pair with most gobies, but quite a bit more expensive and I'm not sure it's still there. I'd suggest calling ahead. The Aquarium is where they're typically $25 and often available, but you've got to ask one of their people to fish through the little tanks to see if they can find one buried. I love the little shrimp, got a Randalls, bumblebee, harlequin, and maybe still an emperor (haven't seen him in awhile, though). Sorry for getting so off topic here, but NICE tank Randy!

No problem, this forum needed some spice to it... I'm just glad everyone is posting... lol And besides this forum is what keeps me going when I'm doing book work... I hate taxes... Tomorrow my fourth quarter payment is due... Ugh... There goes a couple thousand the gov't doesn't think I need and others do... Besides its not like we ever stay on topic... lol The Aquarium is closed today, so doesn't look like I'll be going anywhere... I went to the CR Saturday and didn't see anything... Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough...

Anyways, how does your harlequin do??? I've wanted to get one for a while but worry about its diet... They're gorgeous shrimp... I saw a few up in CT at an LFS and was too tempted... They were feeding it a Choco Chip Star... Made me laugh... Besides I'd like to get rid of the asterina in my tanks... Whenever I find one I pluck it out... But they're hard to find...
