Hello all, I'm usually on nano-reef.com but am also posting my project here.
I am combining two of my nanos into one 20g high tank, and all of it is custom except for the tank. It has come a long way and needs to be finished by next weekend.

Filtration
-A 10g sump with chemi-pure elite, filter floss, and bio media. A
-Aqua C Remora in sump
- GenX 2400 (635gph) return pump

Tank
-20 gallon High
-Custom overflow with drain to sump

Lighting
-2 70w 14,000K metal halides
-2 13w T-5 HO actinics
-Blue LED, moonlighting

Other equipment
-JBJ Auto Top Off unit (do not have yet but ordered)
-Heater
-Automatic feeder
-Timers
-FLO waver makers

Looks very nice!! The halides should look great. I didn't see any lens for the halides though, do you have someway of rigging a glass lens between the halides and the tank?

Yes i do have lens holders, that was just an older picture I'll update tomorrow.

you know, i did realize that and have known that for a while. The only difference i have seen between the urchin and remora is that the remora has the water exit ramp thing, while the urchin has a hole so the water can flow down the skimmer, into the sump.

So far my live stock list for fish is (please don't yell)
2 False perc clowns
1 maroon clown
They all get along just fine in my 10g holding tank
I'm also thinking a Royal Gramma or a Diamond Goby but leaning tworads the Royal.

Yellow polyps
Frogspawn
featherduster
many more to come
all of the above i already have from my nanos
 
I know, they get along just fine. The bigger false perc sometimes goes after the other two but not often. I may just take him back to my LFS.

I need to get my tank drilled and i'm going to have a 1.5" drain hole to the sump. I need to get a bulkhead but do not know what type can someone please point me to the one i need?
 
i got my JBJ Ato unit yesterday, i think it may be my 2nd best investment! 1st being the Aqua C Remora.
 
That is amazing!!! I just got a couple of false percs for my 20h that just finished cycling. I only have 130watts of PC's and yours absolutly blows mine away. If mine is thriving, yours will explode with success!!! Best wishes and can't wait to see more!!!

the tank is going to be up on Wednesday, if all goes accordingly with the glass shop.

My maroon clown got stuck behind my heater a few nights ago and got fried,:eek: o well.
anyone have fish suggestions i only have two false percs
 
why do you want a 1.5" bulkhead?

i regret putting mine in...the water flowing though the pipe is very annoying...tinlking sound drives me nuts...

anyway...i would go with threaded both sides...if you get a slip one you will have to glue it in and that makes changing thing difficult..slip on the tank side would be fine though..

looks good so far though...
