That depends if you want bulkheads to run your return and drain plumbing. If you decide too, do some extensive research before trying. Make sure the glass isn't tempered.

I was thinking about getting this kit which from what i have read comes with everything i need to drill it.

A lot of people use different methods such as the herbie, or durso, which helps eliminate the gurgling noise. Although with using one of those you want to have an emergency drain and would probably have to run your return over the back unless you drilled 3 holes.

Is the hole that I drill a little higher than the first not for my emergency overflow? Sorry if this if a dumb question.

When you say a little higher do you mean bigger? where are you going to be drilling.it at? I'm assuming your going to silicone a overflow in there and drill holes in the bottom behind the overflow? You could two 1" drains or a 1" and 3 /4" and have a 3/4" return.

Oh i got you sorry i was confused yeah that is probably what im going to do as long as it isnt tampered glass.

Yes make sure it's not tempered glass first. If it is, you can always run a hob overflow.
