125 for an Emperor?

I was checking out liveaquaria's divers den today and noticed they had 125g as the minimum tank size for an Emperor angel. I would have thought it would be bigger than that, but from what Ive seen most of their other minimum sizes have seemed appropriate.

Just curious what your opinions for a minimum tank size are!

It's not the gallon that most important for them it the length of the tank. Like he said 6' plus. IMO minimum 6' 150 gal depending on the size of emperor.

I would say 180 absolute min, a tank that's longer/wider would be better

Agreed with the 180 minimum, 6x2x2. I had one for almost 4 years in my 220. He grew from about 2" to 6.5-7" in that time. Great hardy easy to care for fish, that grunts like a pig. They like a lot of open space to swim and places to hide.
