125 Fowlr

I hope to set-up a 125g FOWLR sometime in the near future... I need help as far as sensible stocking.

I want to keep a Picasso Trigger, a couple of Pygmy Angels, a couple of Fairy Wrasse, maybe a larger wrasse like a Maori or something... and probably some damsels.

does this sound okay?

It will be bare-bottom and I will probably be buying a Bubble-King skimmer.

Chris - sounds good as a first round proposal...... I've no doubt it will grow legs over the coming months :)

You might have trouble with a big wrasse chasing smaller wrasse... but the amount of stock you are talking about sounds very reasonable........

Bubble king skimmer huh...... can't vouch for them, but the red dragon pump is so quiet its uncanny...... its easily as quite as a tunze stream!

You'd get a tang and a butterfly in there too..... or a couple of butterflies if you want non-reef safe stuff......

Sounds like the beginnings of a nice tank ;)

For me..... going on your guideline stock.... I'd go with the trigger, the couple of dwarf angels, a falcula butterfly (double saddle back), a red backed (red sea) pearlscale butterfly, then either a medium sized wrasse OR the couple of fairy's......

That would be moderate "sensible" stocking levels..... some folks would throw a couple of tangs in for good measure..... that would make light heavy to heavy......

Picasso could make a snack of dwarf angels and damsels. They have some decent teeth. If he is well fed may not go through the work of catching them. The fairy wrasses will be scared too death of the picasso and probably never come out. I think your stocking levels are pretty lite and you could afford to add some other fish like matt said.
