Amazing Greg.... As always..... You know, though, that you are going to run out of room....... ( LOL ) ...Reck'n you'll have to upgrade to a larger tank ...

By the way.... Hows the light canopy comming along..??? And one more thing... I'll be installing the pump upgrades tomorrow.... Went out to dinner tonight so did not have time....

Bob

Great pictures Greg. I really like that red Cynarina. Does the tuskfish eat your snails/hermits/shrimp?

thanks guys, the canopy will start construction not this Monday but next, it should only take a day or 2.
The tusk hasn't really bothered anything yet but I plan on him eating the snails. I don't have any shrimp because they usually do more harm than good anyways.
I picked up the cynaria at the last PBMAS reef club meeting.

Wow Greg, that is awesome! More pics please :D

Guess what? I've decided that when I finish transforming the system, and the 135 will be the fuge, I will get a Bamboo shark. Less rock, low flow, sand, and tons of space for it. I also have someone to take it when it gets too large. Think it's an ok idea?

I can't believe that none of my leather shots didn't make it into the reefkeeping slideshow but congrats to Melev who had quite a few and Matt (CodeToad), a local to me, for making the cover pic!

Do you like how the tank has progressed?
I had a Bamboo for a while until I added too much rock for it, they aren't very active but very interesting animals. I'll try and get some more pics tomorrow.

Here are some Blastos I won at the last reef club meeting.

Double negative :p

Blastos are nice man...the whole tanks really progressed. Looks like it's time for an upgrade.

Got all of the pump "upgrades" completed this morning and man what a difference those SEIO's make in the flow...... Only problem that I'm having is that they will pull a vortex from the surface once and a while and shoot air bubbles all through the tank.... I've got them about 5" below the surface now and would really like to keep them at that depth... ( no lower) .... Any suggestions as to how I cure this problem...???

( I'm sure it will be a simple fix )

Also, I decided to put the hydor's on my Hagen Pwr heads max flow and they are rotating great.... I was a little worried because the Hagen's put out 400gals/hour which is 90gals/hour more than recommended.....But they seem to be working great....

I'm working on a video to show it off so look in my Reef Video Thread for it ( and also for all of the other videos that we've got in there..... )

Bob

Greg, thanks for the congrats. Often, Skipper and his minions will scour the threads for images, and occasionally announce the need for images. Maybe yours were merely overlooked in this one case.

You might ask him in a PM what he needs for the next slideshow, and submit a few.

Awsome tank! I just got done reading all 18 pages. It's a real inperation for the 125 I just got. Mines a 72x18x24. I wanna get it drilled, but I don't know if it;s tempered. I got it used. Love the tusk.

Bob

You can try mounting them like I have mine using this Mod but it will still lower it or you can close the valves a little.

I'm not whining I just have some really cool leather pics that could have been used, he can't keep track of everyone everywhere.

Thanks, those are the same dimensions as mine, Good luck. If you know the brand and when the previous person bought it you can call the manufacturer.

I believe the problem took care of itself Greg.... After running for a bit, they've stopped sucking air pockets from the top .... I also had to mess with the direction a bit ... the combined flow started to "excivate" some of my SB.... I had to move my shrooms to a different location to ... too much flow.... But I created a new low flow area which I really did not have before .... With all the pumps running now I've got a 38.6 X's turn over per hour...

WOO HOO......

Its an old tank. The only sticker on it is one with a pic of an anchor, and a build date in 1989. The previous owner got it used through his local classifieds, and does'nt remember how to contact the original owner. I read that it's usually only the bottom glass thats tempered. Is that true?
