I've been a member of RC for years but, I haven't accumulated enough posts to post anything to the selling forum. I hope you guys don't mind if I post this here to see if anyone is interested. I'd like to sell my stuff to someone locally who I know will take care of it.
We need to break down our tank to try and cut down on the monthly bills so, here goes. Please send an email to dward254@yahoo.com if you are interested and I can email you pics and prices.
Equipment:
125 Gallon Glass Aquarium
Oak Stand
Oak Canopy (semi-customized to allow room for MH lights)
~ Both the canopy and stand were painted using the Antique Black Kit from Lowes.
2 - 250 watt MH setup includes magnetic ballast, light fixtures, and 2 10K bulbs about 4 mos. Old
1 - ViaAqua 1300 return pump
1 - Rio 2100 return pump
Sump is a 20 gallon tank segregated into 3 chambers for macro algae and is plumbed to a 10 gal as a reservoir area.
Livestock:
14†Volitan Lionfish (eats frozen or anything he can fit into his mouth)
4-5†Powder Blue Tang
16-18†Snowflake Eel
Blue Tuxedo Urchin
Misc. crabs and snails
Large Brittle Star
1 Large Red Mushroom
2 Med Blue Mushrooms (splitting into 3)
I would like to keep the rock, aragonite sand and the skimmer for a future tank. But, if someone is interested in the whole setup, please let me know and we can negotiate on those items. We've had the tank for about 5 years and it was always a FOWLR but, recently begun trading in our large fish to switch to a reef. We also bought our first house at the same time and need some cash to pay some of our bills. Also, please keep in mind that we obviously need to sell the fish first before I can break down the tank. Thanks, although this is a sad day.
