What do you guys think of the shape of a 125? I'm thinking about the one in binghamton. How about for lighting? It will be probably be tough to fit a sump underneath, I'll have to see the existing stand. Plus drill it and install an overflow.
Also, just thinking, but could you just put MH at one end of the tank and put SPS at that one end? At least until I could afford more.

I've never tried it, but I would think if you were only going to run a single halide you'd want it over the middle of the tank... other wise one end would be brighter than the rest of the tank (aesthetics).

I think the 125 is a nice tank. You could get away with two MH on it. I am using two 175 SE MH right now and it gets surprisingly good coverage. When I had my 125 setup I had no problem fitting a 30 gallon sump underneath it. I also had an asm g3, a calcium reactor, and a 10 gallon refugium as well. If you can get if for a good price I would say go for it…
