140 tank/stand/canopy

The dimensions would be perfect to make a number of good chambers with each being different type filtrations. i.e. 1 macro, 1 xenia, etc.

It would end up that way. He's not going to lose out on this. He's getting the works. Some kind of custom exotic wood stand made in Fiji or some pacific island when he was stationed there. All the pumps, skimmer, etc. His wife had inherited some priceless antique african masks or something and the humidity ruined one that was close to 30K. The hammer came down and the tank or her were leaving.

I've seen her and I'd keep the tank.

I would think so. It does have a couple holes for bulkheads on the back. You could either use them for a sump system or just put a bulkhead with a plug and/or patch them up.

sounds good.... could you just use water from the river for them then? or not... i mean would it honestly make a difference?

You could also just fill it from the garden hose and add some stresszyme (dechlorinator).
