Does anyone own the 14gal. Bio-cube that can give me Ideas on what I should and can upgrade on these systems? Should I use the pump that comes with it, Should I use the carbon filter and Bio-balls, Should I upgrade on the lighting and is there a way to do this without having to remove and keeping the top off?

No offense but the nano cube is a piece of sh#$, way more than the bio cube even though I have no idea why you would say that. But my bro has a nano and in a simple move that pice of junk broke into a million pieces. it never fell, got tossed, anything that would cause breaking and it broke. so to each there own, and the kid never asked your opinion about the bio cube.

"I" think they are a piece of crap it is only because I've had a "NANOCUBE" before, and I didnt have problems as much as i have had with my 14gal biocube. Those are the facts and my experiemence that leads me to give my opinion. Anyone that doesnt like it, dont care.
The reason why I dont liek it was because 1, the way they designed two stupid intakes. If your planning on keeping an anemone forget it , because unless you modify the bottom intake, the anemone will go inside as mine did. You know how to get it out? You have to break the guard because when they glued these nanocubes, the glue got on the guard.
Also, the flow is crap. There are a lot of deadspots But big deal, the main thing I dont like baout it is that the chambers are so small, unless you have small girl hands you cant do anything. Also if you take out the bioballs, the overflow chamber becomes loud as if someone is peeing with the restroom door open.
Thats just my opinion. I recommend getting a 24gal JBJ nano cube (not aquapod) over the 14gal biocube.
