$150 Tripod

Hey folks. I am looking to purchase a tripod in the very near future. I currently have a Nikon D40, I own the kit lenses and a Tamron 90mm.

My current tripod is more for hiking/travel, it is extremely compact and lightweight...which is the main problem. I need something sturdy, with a quick connect, and other basic features.

Could anyone recommend a tripod that costs around $150 that would be good for general photography, something that would work well with a macro lens would be nice. Perhaps a tripod where you can add an arm for macro photography.

I would appreciate help from any subject matter experts or those who are very happy with a similar priced tripod.

If $150 isn't a hard limit you can get pretty close.

Gosh. I can't believe I haven't seen that sticky. :furious: You think I would have noticed it after visiting this forum for the 200th time.

$150 is somewhat flexible.
