I was looking around and found a used 150g with stand and canopy for $750 im not in a huge rush for a new tank until later this year. I'm not very damiliar with used prices. Any input of if this is a decent price or not?

While I haven't been in the market for a tank in awhile, 750 seems a bit much. Unless of course the stand and canopy is gold inlaid mahogany or something equally exotic.

Anything else come with it for that price?

I think the quality of the tank and the stand/canopy are what will dictate if that's a good deal or not. If it's a good as new rimless tank with starfire glass along with a furniture grade stand and canopy, then it's a great price. If it's a Marineland tank with some wear and the typical marineland stand and Canopy, then I'd say it's not that great a deal.

I was able to find on Craigslist a Marineland 180, stand, large acrylic sump, t5/halide light fixture, skimmer, along with an assortment of pumps, plumbing and 100 lbs of quality dry rock for $700 about 6 months ago.

Thats kind of my thoughts. Just wanted to confirm.

The stand is furnature grade however it definitly has signs of wear. I will continue the search, Just wanting to find a larger tank before I move by the end of the year.

Thanks!

Yea that seems a bit much. Be patient and check Clist and such frequently, you'll find a good deal soon enough.

I'm also getting back into the hobby and looking for a 120g or 150g tank. Who has the best prices for reef ready tanks?

I don't keep up on tank prices but I will say this . . . the tank is almost the least expensive part of the hobby. I would spend whatever money you have on getting the tank that is exactly what you want - dimensions, overflow design, etc.

Compromising on the tank dimensions or size turns out to be a big hassle down the line.

a big plus 1 on that.

Thanks. I had been planning on just bringing my current tank when I move and buying something for the house. But then it was offered to me. I just want to have something soon as the seams on mine were re done at some point and don't look very pleasing. This makes me wonder how strong they are..
