Its been a long time coming almost 8 months I think from the time I first got the tank lol. Figured I'd finally start this thread as I'm getting close to getting it cycling...Got the overflow box design idea for the ledge to place frags from another member can't remember who tho.

This was my first time building a stand with that said my first attempt was far from square (learned that Lowe's just does rough cuts...dohhh) :headwally: So I tore it apart got hold of a miter saw, gave it a lil trim and put it back together
almost perfectly square :) Stained it black then put on three coats of poly and painted inside with killz

Have to give recognition to the bean animal overflow wish I had a better pic of the back of my tank before I got it in place. Last pic is with freshwater and some bleach to test with pumps ect. and clean. No drips... Might need a bigger skimmer when I swap everything over from my 75 as my current skimmer is a reef octopus nwb 110 which will be a bit underrated...haha

Hey Jason my current tank is set up almost identical to yours and the overflow can handle amazing amount of flow.... Don't be scared I've run over 3000 gph to test the capabilities with no problems

Thats good to hear as I have a quite one 6000 for the return, with 4' head loss and set for full flow I think I'm pushing about 1300gph.

You shouldn't have any problem... I have a mag 12 and 9.5 on mine now with about 4ft head loss and I have full flow on 1 overflow the other 2 are just in case I get clog or power outage.... I'm running 1inch plumbing

Quick mock up of the sump, going to be adding a T-valve to primary drain on far left. Waiting on my baffles for the sump...had to send the glass back as it was cut 1/2" to short to seal in sump. Great staff at Countryside Glass and Mirror to get it corrected at no extra cost! Figured I'd get a head start on filling the tank with salt, its getting close lol
