Hi All,

Thought I would update you on the system after I made a total switch to freshwater. It was time to try something new and I wanted to see if I could do something cool.

The ability to create a "Wow" effect with the limited resources that freshwater offers was a challenge I wanted to take.

I know I'm on the wrong board for this so go easy.:deadhorse:

That surely is impressive when it was a Saltwater tank and now being a FW looks just as impressive!

I like the freshwater better. Simpler- cheaper,easier and IMO just as nice. Kind of weird but I do miss the bright colors and micro-organsims. I enjoyed just being surprised by what lives on the live rock, but on the other hand I'm not worried about what might come in with a new coral and contaminate the whole system.

Seriously though, are those little freshwater shrimp(brine??) swimming around in there? Looks like they're coming in via a refugium of sorts? Or am I looking at that wrong.

About a dozen or more frogs in the system and they can reproduce. The stingrays get them at the tadpole stage so no babies will develop into adults.

Those are guppies swimming around.

the paludarium is extremely unique and gorgeous to look at.

although i do prefer the reef just a tiny bit. either way great work.
