175w MH on a 7g nano = overkill?

i currently have 27w CF daylight bulb over my 7g tank. i was thinking about putting the 175W MH fixture over it. would this be overkill for my tank?

i would have to say YES!!!!! it will cook your tank!

Definetly not to much if you are just putting your dinner in the tank to thaw it out. Maybe look into some PC lighting. Ask around on the nano forum for good recomendations.
