18" tall OK for a pair of SH?

Hello everyone,
I've got a 34 gallon tank that I'd like to use to house either a pair of Erectus or Reidi. My main concern is the tank height is only 18". Would this be alright if I wasn't too concerned about successful breeding?

Yes 18" is ok. That is the minimum recommendation.
