So I've been working non-stop for the last 9 days on the 180 we bought and its finally up and running! Still have some minor things to get going, but I can now rest for a bit! Moving and trying to get this thing going has taken its toll on us!

I had to add reinforced bracing to the back cause the person who made the stand cut through the support beam a little...

I'll post more pics later when I have more time.

Bill, that is looking awesome! I love what you did to the trim and the canopy!

That rock work is sweet looking!!!!

Do you mind sharing how you moved things from your old tank to this new one?

I will be doing a tank swap pretty soon and was thinking about leaving the old sand behind and adding new sand to the new tank. Hopefully I won't have a large cycle on my hands? I also added new "dry" rock last week to my established tank so it gets some life on it before I do the swap.

I used all new arag-alive sand myself. Using the old sand will cause too many issues. My move was from my old apartment to our new house. So I had to transfer water from the old tank to 55 gallon barrels at the house. I mixed new water with reef crystals and moved all live rock along with the dry rock I bought. I let the dry rock sit in ro water for a few days to help get rid of any phosphate rise I thought I might get from it. Transferred all livestock on last day with remaining water. I'll be watching all my levels closely for the next couple months to make sure nothing spikes up. So far so good.

Let me know if you need any help.
