180 delivery

I spoke with SotgunShrimp today and as of now it appears that he can deliver the tank next Saturday. He's nice enought o make the two hour drive to deliver the tank. His truck has a drop gate which will make life a bit easier. We will need some bodies to move this beast. I will post when we have a definite delivery time. Of course the zoo will also have people to help. But i was thinking, this would also be a good opportunity for others to come out, see the site, meet some zoo staff, and plan the next stages such as constructing the stand. We will need to give the zoo a specific list of what materials to purchase since they have an expense account with Lowes. So if you mechanics (e.g., Nate, Ryan, Vince, George etc.) can start making specific schematics for a stand and plumbing, we can get cranking. And remember, simple and cheap! Fatrip has a 55 gallon rubbermaid sump we can use so we can design the system around that.

OK folks, we have a delivery time for this Saturday. ShotgunShrimp (Tim) will be at my house between 12 (noon) and 12:30 and then I'll escort him to the zoo from there. We should plan on meeting at the Park Avenue service entrance at about 12:45 give or take a few minutes. Then we'll pull his truck up as close as we can get to the penguin/sea otter building and carry it from there. Zoo personnel will be on hand to help as well.

Nate and Vince: Please bring any parts lists you can provide for plumbing and stand so that the zoo can start purchasing materials from Lowes. Please make lists as clear and detailed as possible.

OK truth be told, I am always late and my cell phone is almost never charged :lol:

I will be at least an hour late most likely just in time to tell you guys you did a nice job carrying the tank down. Oh and I will probably forget my list too :lol:
