180 gallon tank source.

I want to be really realistic about budget for my upgrade to a 180. Some stuff I think I've settled on but I can't plan the stand until i pick the tank. I want overflows in both corners. It will likely be in-wall, so no reason to pay for rimless.
I need to factor in shipping to Northern California, or pick up anywhere near Sacramento or San Francisco.
While used may be an option, for the budget I'd like to plan for new.
Suggestions?

Crystal Dynamics out of SoCal is an option if you are interested in a relatively affordable custom tank. Need to go through a dealer though so you may need to take a trip to one of the stores in the Bay Area that deals with them. Make sure you get quotes from the different stores though as there is a significant difference in how much the stores mark them up. Shoot me a PM and I can share which place I used when I ordered one last year.

Call Neptune Aquatics in San Jose, they have a bunch of nice tanks in stock. A bunch direct from crystal Dynamics also

Dang it. I drove right by today (had a meeting in Santa Clara).
Thanks for the tips. All I see online is a basic MarineLand for about $1k, and because of Dennis I had to peek at Elos. There's got to be something in between.
My go to store is in Pleasanton. But I hear Neptune has a new store I haven't seen yet.

Lol. :wave-back:
Maybe after I get done paying tuition for my sons college. He has mild Autism, but managed a 3.8 GPA and I'm so proud I'd quit the hobby before stopping THOSE payments.
My wife shot down the idea of an in-wall. Not because I can't fix it if we sell, but she didn't want to give up the closet where she hang drys her clothes! I can't argue, since she let me get a Harley with my commission check a few years ago. So it will be on a standard stand, and I'm trying to decide if I should just put the sump in the closet. Man, that would make access so much easier!
I plan to build the sump first, since I can use it as an over-sized option for my 75. Won't fit under the current stand, and once it's running, I can just swap tanks. I do like acrylic builds, and got a lot of inspiration from Melev. In fact I build the 25g on my desk that way.

Got a few local prices. Sapphire glass on 3 sides, 2 overflows, drilled, euro bracing, <$3,000. I'll get some real quotes when the time comes, but it's the ballpark I was looking for.
Next, the sump. If I build it 48" X 18", and run baffles 10" depth, that 37 gallons. If I need to account for 2" of water from the DT when I shut off the return, that's another 15 gallons, which is another 5" of sump height, or 15" total. So, but my math I need 18-20" high for the sump, total. Am I doing that right?
Then I take 20" and allow enough room to remove the skimmer. So how high do I need to make the stand. The front rail will be a 2 X 8 with no center brace (according to RocketEngineer's DIY thread.).
