180 In Wall Tank Pics

Looking good B. How have you been doing? I have finally gotten somewhere on my frags grow out area, so hopefully by next week, I can put some frags in there to start growing. Keep up the good job on the tank.

Thanks Matt! Been busy, working on constructing a new light rack, going to DIY a new aluminum frame with 3 - Lumenbrite Mini's :)

Glad to hear progress has been made on your set up! Keep in touch,

Brian

Update on my auto top off better mousetrap idea.

Problem: When I turned off my return pump for feeding, the switches became submerged and I had a few switch failures.

Solution: I simply covered the wiring with vinyl tubing to keep the water off the switches. In operation for a couple of months, so far, so good:)

NEW - Light Rack build pics coming soon:D

Brian, good meeting you over the weekend. Had to check your build thread again. How's the lighting compare between your two fixtures. Any new pics on how the tank looks?

JeffBoyRd, it was nice finally meeting you too:)

Biggest differences I've noticed between the two fixtures are available light and heat. The Lumenbrite mini's seem to light the tank better, and I say "seem" because I need to get a par meter in there and take some readings, to the naked eye I like the look better. Heat is less because the lights are further away from the water surface.

New pics soon!

ganjero, if you use 18/2 stranded copper wire with a clear case for speakers, then yes it's speaker cable. Actually, I have no idea what the wire manufacturers intended end use was, other than a conductor of electricity:) It was just some wire I had laying around and figured I'd put it to good use. I hope my T5's don't start sounding funny :D

Not soon enough apparently:) No promises, but maybe this weekend, I'll post some pics of my top off stand, cleaned up wiring rats nest, chiller install, Carol's new RBTA which is roaming around my refugium and other updates, did I mention, no promises:)

RBTA After :( it decided to take a midnight stroll and pick a fight with a Tunze
RBTA3.jpg

It healed up in about a week and is eating Mysis. I hope it continues to do well. This used to be my refugium, and is slowly turning into another display. Once the RBTA settles in AGAIN, I'll put the mated pair of clowns with the RBTA and add some zoo's or maybe paly's for a splash of color. Stay tuned for more updates...in a month or two!
