So how long have you been doing this project for....My husband has a huge thread on the process of his fishtank(i swear its stil going and he finds new ways to tweak it so it wont stop)....

and for the baby i dont think she likes the fish room right now maybe its all those hormones i gave her about how much i hated the fish tank while i was pregnant.....Husband was sooo obsessed he had to drop by Home depot before they closed for some plumbing while i waited to go to the hospital in the car LMAO......I think we had 3 x of labor scares and each time he was doing fishtank or reefcentral LOL....

Hahahah and date night consists of nooo computers and noooo fish tank(enless we are close to a LFS and then date night is out the window here comes new corals)!!!

Ha Ha I lauphed out loud about your hubby going to the store for a fish run on the way to the hospital and the date night thing! How old is the baby, I knew she was comming soon. I would think the humm of the pumps and all would be soothing but you may have already tanted her and she remembers the noise ='s mama getting all crazy mad! :lol:

I started in 04 and it is truely never ending! I am just lazy about putting up pics and all. I found a leaky mess in my sump room today actually and I worked on all morning. It always is something!
At least your hubby seems to get things done! The build thread went fast! I know at the expense of time with you guys but at least stuff is not laying around 80% done endlessly like my tank! So praise him for his work ethic at least!

Also I love the color you all painted the room the tank is in. It looks amazing! And the rock scape rocks!!

I have been working on it for bout two months now ... always more to tinker with Can you post a link to your husband's build thread? I dont think i have seen it yet. My wife is pregnant right now LOL ... i hope my baby doesn't hate the tank already, cause i know my wife does at times ... lots and lots of time.

This past weekend i decided to swap lighting to T5s! I went from 3 x 250 hqi to 6 x 80watts T5 on TEK II reflectors. So far i am very impressed. colors are much nicer on the corals, and i can see them shifting (for the better) already! Also, no more heat issues in that small room.

I raised the lighting rig to about 8" from the water surface and i cut down the photoperiod to 4 hours (only the white bulbs, the blue are running at the normal photoperiod). Each week i will lower the rig an inch or two and extend the "on" time by an hour. What do you guys think? I wish i could just run this baby full throttle
